Financial Controller required to join the management team of a well established Dublin Hotel. The ideal candidate will take full responsibility for the reporting on and performance of the hotel, and will work closely with the General Manager and Heads of Department to drive both revenue performance and cost management in order to maximise hotel profitability.
Supporting the General Manager to driving growth of the business
Take ownership for all aspects of the financial reporting, management reporting (occupancy levels, margin reporting), financial control, working capital management, budgeting and forecasting
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Ad-hoc projects will be ongoing
Management of the finance function and team duties, on a day to day basis
Overall responsibility for the preparation of the monthly management reporting pack, including analysis of and commentary on performance
Annual Budgeting & weekly forecasting, partnering with general manager/heads of department to deliver budgets and forecasts that are both accurate and timely
Participation at business reviews with hotel management team
Take full ownership for the proper operation of the financial control environment at hotel level, including cash handling, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, and stock control.
Support to the finance team, encouraging professional development
Ensure Heads of Department are supported to undertake budget and forecast monitoring
Successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with prior Finance Manager/ Financial Controller experience in the hotel-sector, with strong financial reporting skills, a strong commercial acumen, and leadership skills
Qualified Accountant with c. 2 – 3 years PQE, ideally within a fast paced and innovative environment
Prior experience in a hotel environment is required
