Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Our client based in the Dublin 24 area is looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrical for an ongoing assignment. This is primarily electrical repairs and maintenance therefore a qualification in the field is required. The Technician will be involved in electrical operations, maintenance and trouble-shooting and have responsibility for installation, calibration, repair and maintenance of a range of utility and environmental instrumentation


  • Operating the plant to ensure compliance with appropriate safety and environmental standards, and statutory requirements;
  • Carrying out plant-related routine duties to ensure plant commercial performance, availability and reliability is maintained to SLA targets;
  • Planning, organising and carrying out electrical and instrumentation planned and statutory maintenance activities including supervision of competent sub-contractors;
  • Assisting Site Engineer and Engineer on projects and outage preparation;
  • Installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand-tools, power-tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment;
  • Installing power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment;
  • Calibrating individual components and whole systems


  • Competent in all aspects of utility plant operation and maintenance;
  • Electrical Technician or Craft qualification is required
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience required
  • Experience working with operation, maintenance and calibration of control instrumentation
  • Knowledge and experience of electrical and instrument systems in utility plant operation and maintenance;
  • Display good teamwork and interpersonal skills, working flexibly within a small team
  • IT literate, displaying skills of numeracy and literacy
  • Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legal requirements

The rate of pay is €19.49 per hour and the hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
